How do I know which manual goes with my BP-1002?
You must look inside the beltpack to identify which board was installed. To do this you will need a Phillips head screwdriver. Follow these steps:1. Remove the two screws on the sides of the beltpack closest to the Talk button and volume knob. Then pull the faceplate, which is attached to the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) until you can view the top of the board. (In reference with the faceplate facing you.)
Note: You do not have to completely remove the board or detach the wires to view this board number as shown in Figure 1.
2. The board number will be displayed in white lettering in this format: 9030-XXXX-XXX
Once you have located this number, it will either be 9030-7740-XXX, which REV. H of the BP-1002/2002 manual is based upon. Alternatively, it will be 9030-7832-XXX, which the latest REV of the manual is based upon. Please see Figure 1 below for visual reference.
